Mt. Kenya (6 Days)


Arrive in Nairobi airport and transfer to Mount Kenya 4 – 5hrs at Simba Camp outside Sirimon Gate (2800m)


Day 1 Sirimon Gate to Old Moses Camp (3330m)

We trek into heather and moorland, the heather and grass interspersed with wonderful and bizarre exotic plants winding our way over rivers before reaching old Moses Camp where we will have dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Old Moses Camp to Liki North Camp (3700m)

After breakfast the trek starts to steepen and plants thin out to leave swaying grasses. We will have dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Liki North Camp to Shipton's Camp (4200m)

We start climb to the head of the valley. we will views sweep all the way out to the plains while the peaks of Mount Kenya loom in front of us. The temperature start to drop and ice can appear on the ground and Shipton’s Caves will be cool and eerie. We will have dinner and overnight here.

Day 4 Shipton’s Camp to Summit Lenana (4895m) descend down to Shipton’s /Mintos Hut (4270m)

Rising early in the morning and set out using head torches up the steep last stretch. We will be scrambling across scree through narrow rock corridors and clambering over boulders.The craggly summit will finally became an incredible vantage point to see the sun rise over Kenya.We will descend down to Shipton’s Camp/Mintos hut (4270m)

Day 5 Shipton’s Camp/Mintos Hut to Bandas (2950m)

After a fun night we descend down to Bandas for dinner and Overnight. we will get a chance to see some Elephant and Sykes Monkeys.

Day 6 Bandas to Chogoria gate

Descend down to the gate and drive back to the hotel in Nairobi.
