Trip Overview

In this 4-days safari, you witness the majestic grandeur of the Ngorongoro Crater, teeming with diverse animals. You will explore the vast Serengeti plains, where endless herds migrate and predators stalk their prey. You will also explore Tarangire, a park with the largest population of elephants in Tanzania. You will spot iconic creatures like elephants, lions, zebras, and giraffes, all against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes. Itinerary

Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) in the morning, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your lodge. After a brief rest and lunch, you will embark on an exciting game drive in Tarangire National Park to observe elephants, lions, and a variety of other animals. After the game drive, you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge in Karatu.

After an early breakfast at your lodge before departing for a full-day crater tour in the Ngorongoro Crater. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to diverse wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, and hippos. Enjoy a morning game drive, have a picnic lunch in the crater, and continue your exploration in the afternoon. Return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll leave Karatu and travel to the famous Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a packed lunch on the way and enjoy the views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge in the Serengeti National Park in the late afternoon and relax before dinner.

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, where you’ll get the chance to see a variety of animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and wildebeest. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration, one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth. Depending on your flight departure time, you may have time for another game drive in the Serengeti before leaving the park and heading back to Arusha Airport for your flight home.

Destination You will visit

Tarangire National Park

Smaller park with lots of elephants and birds. Great for wildlife watching (especially elephants) and birdwatching. Closer to Arusha (2-3 hr drive) than Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park

A vast national park far from Arusha (6-8 hour drive), famous for its endless plains, the Great Migration of wildebeest, and abundant wildlife like lions.

Ngorongoro Crater

West of Arusha (3-4 hr drive). Unique volcanic crater with wildlife and Maasai people. World Heritage Site. Olduvai Gorge nearby.
