Adidas Everest
Adidas, is a certified Mountain and Safari guide who has climbed Kilimanjaro more times than he can count—earning him the title “Chief of Kilimanjaro Climbing.” His skills and passion come from training at Mweka College of African Wildlife Management and over 30 years of experience in the industry.
Julius Minja
Julias Minja has spent over 30 years climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. He’s not just a lead guide but also an instructor with vast experience, having tackled mountains in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, the USA, and France.
At Chiefs Tours, he leads our team of guides.
Emmanuel Mariki
Our lead guide has been leading climbers up Kilimanjaro since 2012, with over a decade of experience and more than 400 successful summits. Before becoming a guide, he spent 11 years mastering the mountain as a porter. Emmanuel doesn’t favor any specific route—he’s a true Kilimanjaro hero.

Yes! Our guides, led by Adidas Everest and Julius Minja, have decades of experience climbing Kilimanjaro and other mountains worldwide. They are certified and trained in first aid, altitude sickness management, and mountain safety.
We conduct daily health checks, provide experienced guides and porters, and ensure proper acclimatization. We also have emergency evacuation plans and use high-quality gear for safe climbing.
Chiefs Tours prioritizes eco-friendly practices, partners with local communities, and ensures fair wages for our guides and porters.
Besides tours, we provide car rentals and offer stays at our very own Kileleni Lodge, a cozy budget retreat near Moshi. We can also book upgraded accommodations in Moshi and Arusha. We aim to make your entire Tanzania experience seamless.
