Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park, just 2-3 hours from Arusha, is famous for its large elephant herds and diverse birdlife—ideal for wildlife and birdwatching.

Serengeti

The Serengeti is renowned for its vast landscapes, incredible wildlife migrations, and iconic animals like lions, elephants, and cheetahs.

Ngorongoro Crater

West of Arusha (3-4 hr drive). Unique volcanic crater with wildlife and Maasai people. World Heritage Site. Olduvai Gorge nearby.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is famous for its flocks of flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and wildlife like elephants and zebras.

Arusha National Park

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our driver will greet you and transfer you to Kileleni Lodge in Moshi. Enjoy a relaxing evening in a serene setting, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is the perfect place to unwind after your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.


Day 2: Arusha National Park – A Photographer’s Paradise

After breakfast, head to Arusha National Park, a hidden gem with diverse landscapes, including montane forests, open savannahs, and the picturesque Momella Lakes. Capture images of giraffes, buffalo, flamingos, and colobus monkeys, all with the stunning backdrop of Mount Meru. A guided walking safari allows for intimate wildlife encounters. In the afternoon, transfer to Karatu for an overnight stay


Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants

After an early breakfast, journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Photograph large groups of elephants near the Tarangire River, and look out for lions, zebras, and the rare fringe-eared oryx. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to Karatu for the night.


Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Into the Wild

Depart for the Northern Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Spot wildlife such as giraffes and antelopes along the way. Arrive at Ikoma Wild Camp and prepare for a unique night game drive, where you can capture the elusive nocturnal predators like hyenas, leopards, and owls under the stars.


Day 5: The Great Migration at the Mara River

Wake up early for a drive to the Mara River, one of the most dramatic locations to witness the Great Migration. Capture thrilling moments as wildebeest and zebras cross the crocodile-infested waters. Look out for lurking Nile crocodiles and big cats waiting for their chance to strike. End the day with a sundowner experience, photographing the golden hues of the Serengeti sunset.


Day 6: Central Serengeti – Home of the Big Cats

After breakfast, head south to Central Serengeti, the best place to photograph lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The vast open plains, dotted with acacia trees and rocky kopjes, offer incredible backdrops for wildlife photography. Spend the day on game drives, searching for action-packed moments and the perfect shot.


Day 7: Full-Day Game Drive – Central & Eastern Serengeti

Explore both Central and Eastern Serengeti, each offering unique photographic opportunities. The Eastern Serengeti is known for its open landscapes and fast-moving predators. Keep your camera ready for dramatic chases and breathtaking scenery. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening under the starlit African sky.


Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – A Natural Wonder

Depart for Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s best wildlife photography locations. Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, where you may spot black rhinos, large prides of lions, and an array of birdlife. The crater’s lush greenery and reflective lakes create stunning compositions. In the evening, transfer back to Karatu for an overnight stay.


Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park – Tree-Climbing Lions

After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and diverse ecosystems. Capture hippos wallowing in the lake, playful baboons in the forest, and elephants roaming through the floodplains. In the afternoon, drive back to Moshi, where you will spend your final night


Day 10: Departure or Optional Zanzibar Extension

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. If you wish to extend your adventure, consider a Zanzibar beach escape for a mix of relaxation and cultural exploration.
