West of Arusha (3-4 hr drive). Unique volcanic crater with wildlife and Maasai people. World Heritage Site. Olduvai Gorge nearby.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is famous for its flocks of flamingos, tree-climbing lions, and wildlife like elephants and zebras.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha/Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our safari coordinator will welcome you and transfer you to your lodge. You will receive a briefing about the safari, and we will check your camping equipment and sleeping bag. You will also have the opportunity to select your preferred meals for the trip. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive to see the wildlife. Then, go to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You may see large herds of elephants near the Tarangire River.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive to see the wildlife. Then, go to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions in the park.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive to see the wildlife. Then, go to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. The endless plains of the Serengeti are home to many migrating animals.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti

Spend the day in the Serengeti. Enjoy game drives to see the many animals. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. You’ll have a chance to witness the Great Migration if it’s the right season.

Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti

Spend another day in the Serengeti. Enjoy more game drives to see wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Look out for predators like lions and cheetahs hunting for food.

Day 7: Full Day in Serengeti

Spend yet another day in the Serengeti. Keep exploring and spotting wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Each game drive offers a new opportunity to see different animals and scenery.

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy a game drive to see the wildlife. Then, go to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. The crater is known for its large population of animals, including the Big Five.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater & Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Enjoy a farewell dinner before your transfer to the airport for departure. Share your favorite memories from the safari with your group.
